Springbok BBQ Spices
The same spices we use to cook for thousands of customers every year, now available for you to cook at yours.
The Story of Our BBQ Spices
When Springbok BBQ started our catering services we quickly learnt that that getting our hands on good spice blends for our meats was all too often easier said than done, so we set about creating our own BBQ spices.
Now 7 years on and hundreds of test recipes later, we bring you the same spices we use in our own outdoor kitchens; cooking tasty food for thousands of customers at our BBQ catering events every summer.
Be it a warm and hazy summer BBQ, a cosy and comforting Sunday roast, mom’s special pork chop night, or any cooking that involves meat, it really just wouldn’t be the same without the addition of our BBQ spices.
As with most things we do, our BBQ spices are made with great care, on a small scale, by hand – and posted off to you in person. Delivery can take up to a week, and we offer a money-back satisfaction guarantee.
Beef BBQ Spice
Our Beef BBQ Spice has a rustic farmhouse flavour profile for beef and game.
Sprinkle on pan-fried steaks or burgers and skewers on the BBQ halfway through cooking. Rub onto beef roasts with a bit of oil and leave 1 hour to infuse before roasting. Try adding to stews and pot roasts towards the end of cooking.
Chicken BBQ Spice
Our Portuguese-inspired Chicken BBQ Spice is great with fowl and poultry.
Dress chicken pieces with a coating of oil (or molten butter) and a sprinkle of spice. Rub onto whole chicken and turkey with a bit of oil and leave 1 hour to infuse. Add to curries as a compliment to your favorite curry powder.
Lamb BBQ Spice
Our Lamb BBQ Spice with an earthy theme is perfect for lamb and mutton.
Dress lamb chops by rubbing them with a bit of oil and a sprinkle of our lamb spice. Rub onto leg of lamb with a bit of oil and leave for 1 hour to infuse before grilling. Add to casseroles with your favorite stock for elevated flavour.
Pork BBQ Spice
Our Pork BBQ Spice with herbs and root veggies ideal to season all cuts of pork.
Sprinkle over pan-fried pork chops over medium heat for a great lift in taste and flavor. Marinade pork with a drizzle of oil and a dusting of pork spice before making skewers. Rub onto pork joints with a bit of oil and let infuse for 1 hour.
